Delicious bite-size muffins topped with melted chocolate and toasted hazelnuts.

Cake Mixture
 50 g Dark Chocolate (roughly chopped)
 150 g Plain Flour
 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
 0.50 tbsp Baking Powder
 1 pinch Salt
 1 Egg (lightly beaten)
 40 g Caster Sugar
 120 ml Milk
 50 g Butter (melted, & slightly cooled)
Topping
 50 g Hazelnuts (roughly chopped)
 75 g Dark Chocolate

Pre heat oven to 180º, Gas mark 6.

Mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder & salt into a mixing bowl.

In a separate bowl, mix together the egg, sugar, milk & melted butter. Fold in the dry ingredients (1) taking care not to over mix.

Spoon a heaped teaspoon full of the mixture into petit four cases. Bake in oven for 10 minutes. When cooked place on a wire tray to cool.

Toast the hazelnuts.

Break up the chocolate and melt in a bowl over a saucepan of boiling water.

Dip the top of each bite into the melted chocolate & sprinkle over the chopped toasted hazelnuts.
