Fruits of the Forest Strudel - this could almost be classed as an instant dessert. So simple and so quick. Beautiful served with Fresh Cream.
If you are looking for an instant dessert - they don't come quicker or easier than this.
Preheat your oven to 180ºC, Gas mark 6.
Roll out your puff pastry into a rectangle. Lay your frozen fruits down the centre leaving a 2cm space at each end. Sprinkle 25g of your caster sugar over the fruit. Egg wash the edges of the pastry. (The pastry should be wide enough to wrap over and envelop the fruit). Fold in the ends and both sides to seal. Transfer the strudel to a baking tray with the sealed side down. Score the pastry (not cuts) making diagonal marks, left and right. Sprinkle with the remaining caster sugar and bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

I spread some raspberry jam on my pastry before adding the fruit. Delicious!
