Orange Bread & Butter Pudding. The ideal recipe to use up any stale bread with very little cost.
Preheat Oven to 160ºC, Gas mark 4.
Spread the marmalade onto the four slices of buttered bread and cut them in half. Remove the crusts.
Lay the bread into a small 2.5cm lipped dish, slightly overlapping each slice and sprinkle the raisins over the top.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs and sugar and pour the mixture over the sliced bread. Allow 3 minutes for the bread to soak up the mixture.
Place the dish on the middle shelf of the oven and allow to bake for 25 minutes, or a little longer if not properly set.
