Steamed Orange and Chocolate Pudding. Oranges and Chocolate so compliment each other and this rich dessert with it's gooey centre is no exception.

Steamed Orange and Chocolate Pudding

 100 g Margarine
 100 g Caster Sugar
 2 Eggs
 200 g Self Raising Flour
 25 g Cocoa Powder
 1 Orange
 3 tbsp Milk
 100 g Dark Cooking Chocolate

Take your orange, remove the zest and squeeze out the juice. Put on one side.

Grease and flour the inside of a 6" pudding basin.

Put the margarine and sugar into a mixing bowl and beat until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs, one at a time, and blend.

Now add the flour, cocoa powder, orange zest, orange juice and milk. Blend the ingredients slowly.

Place half the mixture into the prepared pudding basin. Make a slight indentation in the middle of the mixture and sit your cooking chocolate in the middle. Then add the remainder of the mixture to the pudding basin and cover with foil or greaseproof paper.

Steam the pudding for approximately 1 hour.

Remove from the steamer, uncover and gently ease the pudding from the edges of the basin using a palette knife. Place a plate over the pudding and turn it upside down. Gently remove the basin.

Serve immediately with Fresh Cream, Custard Sauce or Ice Cream.
