If you can make scones, you can make this! Deliciously moreish scone filled with Bramley Apple and Dates. Slice and serve.
Peel, core and cut your apple into 1cm dice. Put to one side.
Preheat your oven to 180ºC, Gas mark 6.
In a mixing bowl add the flour, margarine, baking powder, caster sugar and salt. Bind the ingredients together then add the chopped dates, apple and finally the milk. mix until all the ingredients are bound together.
Transfer the mixture to a large baking tray and gently shape the mixture into a circular shape about 3cm in depth.
Sprinkle the demerara sugar over the top and place in the oven for 25 minutes. Test with a knife in the centre to make sute it is cooked.
Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
