Chocolate Pudding with Chocolate Sauce - an old fashioned recipe for all chocoholics. A rich sponge smothered in a creamy chocolate sauce.
Beat the margarine & 100g of caster sugar together in a bowl until it becomes light & creamy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, & beat well into the mixture.
Add the flour, 50g of cocoa powder, vanilla essence & milk, & fold into the mixture.
Distribute the mixture equally into 4 individual plastic pudding moulds. Steam the puddings for one hour.
Put the milk, 30g caster sugar & 30g of cocoa powder into a saucepan & bring to the boil.
Mix the cornflour in a cup with 1 tablespoon of water.
Gradually add the cornflour to the chocolate flavoured milk, stirring all the time, until it thickens. Then pour the sauce over the puddings.
