A really light dough with a semi-crust, rustic in flavour and appearance and coated in Mixed Nuts and Sea Salt. Delicious!!
Put the flour and 1tsp salt in a mixing bowl. In another bowl, mix the sugar with the yeast until it turns into a liquid. Add the yeast to the tepid water and milk. Add the egg and the melted butter and whisk together. Then add the liquid to the flour, beating vigorously. Cover the bowl and allow to stand and prove to double its size for one hour in a warm area.
After an hour, knock the dough back and roll into a ball. Place the dough on a lined baking tray. Cover and allow to prove again for 20 minutes. Carefully paint the boule with milk and sprinkle on the mixed nuts and the remaining Sea salt.
Bake in the oven, 180ºC, Gas mark 6, for 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving.
